Departing from our base in Chioggia, you’ll be in a perfect position to explore the Venice lagoon and its islands. From Chioggia, you could also opt for the Po delta loop.
Boating holidays on the Venice lagoon in a few words…
So many unforgettable experiences are on offer in the Venice Lagoon. Sleepy villages, historic towns, elegant beaches, such as the Lido, all making up the treasures of the Veneto. Explore Chioggia, a superb town, linked to the mainland only by bridges, and with a delightful traditional fish market. If you follow the channels you will reach Pellestrina, a delightful little fishing village, followed by Malamocco and then Venice itself. As you glide along the canals, you can cast an admiring glance at its historical heritage: the campanile in St Mark’s Square, the Basilica, the Doges’ Palace and much more. If you head northwards, you will find a whole succession of small, romantic islands: Murano, with its craftsmen glassblowers, Burano and its lace-makers, Torcello with its Byzantine-style Basilica di Santa Maria Assunta.
From our departure base of Chioggia, you can rent Penichettes® and Europas We’ve also partnered with Rendezvous Fantasia to offer their excellent NCF boats in Venice

Venice lagoonItinerary
Chioggia...ChioggiaDo we really need to tell you about Venice? Its lagoon and the sight of St Mark's Square will be real high points on your self-drive boat holiday. There are any number of waterway cruises in Europe, but the beauty and originality of this cruise makes it a truly amazing experience.
Burano is an island in the north of the Venice lagoon, famed for its lace and canals bordered by brightly-coloured houses. If you only visit one island on your cruise, this is definitely the one to choose.
Make the most of your cruise to Jesolo: tie up your self-drive boat and spend the day at the beach. It's a perfect way to combine holidays by the sea and boating holidays.
The Sile River Regional Nature Park has developed a green cycle path or ecological corridor that promotes slow mobility (cycling, boating and walking) in Portegrandi. Along the way you will find some of the most evocative places in the province of Treviso that are worth a diversion.

The Po deltaItinerary
Chioggia...ChioggiaIf you like history and architecture you’ll love Adria. Take a break from your cruise to stroll through the town and visit the six villas and four palazzi as well as the museum.
Zelo is a charming village on the banks of the "Canal Bianco". It is close to Governolo, where the largest basin in Italy was built to regulate the river Mincio. You can take advantage of your boat cruise on the Po Delta to visit the ruins of the fortress of the village of Ostiglia.
The city of Governolo is situated next to the river Mincio, which flows into the Po, Italy's largest river. There is a marina that is ideal for anchoring your cruise boat, but there are also many tourist monuments worth visiting: a historical tower with clock, a Gothic bell tower...
Make time to visit Mantua, Virgil’s birthplace. Explore the ducal palace and the town's many other attractions. And if you cruise through the town in September, don’t miss the literary festival which is attended by hundreds of writers from all over the world.
Discover the beautiful beaches of Marina Romea and Al Corno during your boat cruise in Castelmassa. You don't need to travel far to admire the beautiful natural sites in the neighbourhood. The Bosco Fontana nature reserve and Parc Montezemelo are also worth a look!
The town, planned in the 14th century and now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a jewel of medieval and Renaissance architecture. So are the many residences of the d’Este family dukes in the Po delta. A fascinating stopover for visitors on boating holidays.
There are several UNESCO World Heritage sites close to the town of Serravalle: Ferrara, a Renaissance town, and also its Po Delta in the southwest. Don't hesitate to make a nautical stopover there to admire the beautiful green surroundings.
Nature lovers can make a pleasant diversion to the small village of Boccasette, where you will find breathtaking nature reserves and Italian-style canals.
